RED VEIN is excited to announce the return of Books, Brews & Boos: Friday the 13th Edition! This year we’ll be bringing our unique brand of horror and love of spooky storytelling to Väsen Brewing Company. Join us on Friday, July 13th from 6-9pm for a discussion on writing and spine-tingling fear as we introduce you to 5 of the regions most thrilling writers. It’s a FREE event, so come celebrate summer spooks with us!
It wouldn’t be Friday the 13th without a few scary characters and ghost stories! Enjoy the Halloween-surf-rock sounds of The Embalmers in the tasting room as they play live from 6-7:45pm while you drink Väsen brews or eat from Papa V’s Backyard Grill Catering & Food Truck. Perhaps you’ll even meet our ghostly counselors from summer camps long ago… or maybe someone or someTHING a bit more terrifying! James River Writers will also be on hand to share info about their many wonderful writers and programs. Make sure you learn about what this great organization is doing for writers in our community! Next head to the back barrel room at 8pm for our author panel, moderated by professor Sharon Pajka of Gallaudet University and co-chair of RVA Horror Book Club.
